Everyone, from first-time shooters, to the most experienced will enjoy a visit to Central Virginia Sporting Clays.
We are open Thursday-Saturday 9a-5p and Sunday 12-5p. No reservations are needed for shooters not requiring instruction and groups smaller than six.
If you are new to shooting clay targets, please schedule an introductory lesson, in advance, as your first outing.
We want everyone to have a good time, and be safe.
Please familiarize yourself with the range rules prior to your visit.
learn to shoot
If you have never shot a gun before, please call ahead to schedule an introductory lesson with one of our instructors. You will receive an introductory lesson, with gun rental, ammunition, and targets included.
Novice to experienced
You are welcome to bring your own shotgun and ammunition, or we can provide it for you. Only shot sizes 7.5-9, no magnum loads, are permitted.
Pricing
12 and 20 gauge shotgun rental: $20, plus $5 for each additional shooter sharing gun, up to 4 per gun.
Cart rental: $20 each (must have valid driver’s license to operate)
Five stand and Wobble Trap: $15/25 targets
Sporting Clays Targets: $29/50 targets
$56/100 targets
12 and 20 gauge shotgun shells always available for purchase. Other gauges available upon request.
Due to ever fluctuating prices and ammunition shortages, prices may vary.
Range rules
Safety waivers must be signed annually.
Guns must be kept unloaded, with actions open.
Only two shells may be loaded at a time.
Guns must be pointed in a safe direction at all times.
Everyone on the shooting field is required to wear eye and ear protection at all times.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Shot size 7.5 to 9 are permitted. No magnum loads.
Children and minors require adult supervision.
Do not approach the clay target machines.
Only range personnel may go down range.
All golf carts/ATVs, including shooter owned, may only be operated by licensed drivers.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in your removal from the range.
